Our team of over 200 CRNAs manages 100,000+ cases annually at more than 150 anesthetizing locations across Birmingham and central Alabama. From cancer and transplantation to trauma and same-day surgery, plus diagnostic and complex interventional cardiac, radiologic, and GI procedures, our CRNAs work as a part of our interdisciplinary care teams to deliver the highest-quality care for our patients.
Job Description
To provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests or cardio-thoracic surgical procedures and cardiac catheterizations. To participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
Qualifications
Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Currently certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) with Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Specialty by the Alabama Board of Nursing required. Currently certified with Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required. Currently certified with Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) required. Currently certified with Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
