Health System Specialist

Duties

Maintain patient safety policies, programs, and practices in accordance with Quality Management Program principles and numerous applicable regulations.

Implement a process to receive and centrally manage patient safety reports from Military Treatment Facility staff and/or patients or visitors.

Train staff as appropriate in the patient safety and process improvement concepts in order to promote their role as team members, team leaders, and recorders.

Provide feedback to staff regarding the identification and follow-up of patient safety events, lessons learned, and corrective actions.

Comply with directives in preparing annual and cyclic planning documents.

Assist in the planning, development and implementation of the patient safety and performance improvement programs, patient safety policies and procedures.
