Instrument & Electrical Technician IIThe Instrument & Electrical Technician II will be required to work in a team environment to accomplish the maintenance objectives identified by the Maintenance Superintendent. They are responsible for PLC programming and RSLogix 5000 troubleshooting. They are responsible for the safe and proper installation, maintenance and repair of all plant instrumentation and electrical equipment. Duties also include calibration of crucial equipment such as, Turbidimeter, chemical tank transmitters, rewiring of buckets, responding to plant needs during scheduled on call, control valve work and tuning, maintaining proper documentation of equipment data files and contributing to overall well-being of the plant.Responsibilities:Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned at management's discretion.All Duties of I&E Tech IFollow all established safety procedures for safe maintaining of all plant equipmentEnsure proper record keeping of calibrations in equipment data filesPerform calibrations and repair of PH sensors, Pressure, Temperature and Flow transmittersMaintain plant Allen Bradley DCS system, PLC's and supporting instrumentationProvide leadership in professionalism and ethicsWork with operations and supervision to solve plant problemsWork on motors and 480v systems including troubleshooting mcc buckets, breakers, controllersWork on plant energy center equipment such as boilers, generators, compressors etc.Run and repair Heat Trace, electrical conduit, wiring and cabling for repairs or new installs.Understand and support QSH&E goals and objectives, and on-going improvement plans and activitiesWork directly with and oversee vendorsManage projects based in the I&E field of workTelecommunications and Networking within plantAcrison and bleaching clay project knowledgeLow voltage systemsDevelopment of systems for projects and future expansionsRequirements:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty/function satisfactorily. The role involves frequent walking, standing, and stair climbing, along with lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 lbs. Employees will regularly perform pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, kneeling, and climbing. Work is often conducted in outdoor environments and variable weather conditions, with exposure to elements such as heat, cold, and moisture. Adequate visual acuity for reading and monitoring equipment, as well as effective communication skills for verbal and written interactions, are essential. Employees must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) for their work areas.Work Environment:Work environment is based on assigned units of a manufacturing plant, with frequent mobility through all areas of production. This position will be exposed to all outside climate conditions. The noise level varies widely within different areas of production.Normal Work Schedule:10-hour shifts, working schedule to be determined.
