Gastroenterology Physician

We are seeking a highly experienced Gastroenterology Physician to join our team on a contractual basis. The successful candidate will provide specialized GI care, including ERCP procedures, in a fast-paced environment supporting both endoscopy and inpatient/endoscopy units. This position involves working closely with supporting staff, including OR and endo nurses, and requires flexibility around procedure scheduling.

Schedule & Coverage:

• Start Date: 08/01/2026
• Schedule: Monday 7am EST through the following Monday 7am EST (24-hour shift)
• Days per week: 7 days (with weekend call coverage)
• Onsite hours: approximately 8-10 hours per day, Monday to Friday
• Call Duties: 24-hour call including night beeper coverage and weekend call; limited after-hours onsite work
• Patient volume: approximately 5-6 procedures per day during 24-hour call
• Patient age group: Adults, with some younger than 18

Requirements:

• Board Certified in Gastroenterology
• TN State License or IMLC acceptance required before confirmation
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Must have experience with ERCP and all General GI procedures
• Must be well-versed in Olympus endoscopy equipment
• DEA license for TN required
• Preferred: CSR certification and EMR/Documentation experience (EPIC preferred)

Travel & Reimbursement:

• Support staff: OR and in-house Endo nurses
• Reimbursements for licensure, certification, travel, and other applicable expenses available
• Estimated privileging timeframe: 60-90 days with clean background and active licenses

Rate of Pay:

Hourly Rate: $4,290.00

Compensation is based on a 24-hour shift at a rate of $5,500 per shift, with additional call-back pay at $550 per hour. Benefits:
