Job Description

The Fruitist Company is a fresh fruit brand that is focused on delivering premium, snackable berries with consistent quality. The Fruitist Company, headquartered in Los Angeles, CA is seeking an Operation Manager for a New Jersey location to plan, direct, and coordinate quality assurance programs.

Job responsibilities and duties include:

• Formulate quality control policies and control quality of laboratory and production efforts.

• Oversee daily/weekly order scheduling for fruit allocation and Purchase Order execution to provide management and oversight at the warehouse.

• Manage pallet constructing using the customer standard approach.

• Examine products received at the warehouse to verify quality standards such as packaging, labels, and pallets.

• Supervise building of sales orders.

• Verify and handout records of out-going orders for Inventory control/data input.

• Request all documents to export to Canada.

• Manage the receiving process at the warehouse.

• Lead all packing and similar, such as labeling, top sealing, and pallet building activities in warehouse.

• Coordinate and execute PPC plan and instructions.

• Coordinate with Sales and Operations Planner to schedule inbound ocean, land, and air shipments.

• Lead the QC/QA team and coordinate with the Supply/Sales team.

• Operate, deliver, and supervise quality control inspections and reports on received deliveries.

• Conduct inventory quality classification according to customer/location and fruit origin.

• Complete claim reporting and management for insurance.

• Provide inventory management and logistics including highlighting and voice critical situations, acting as a bridge between the sales team and physical inventory, managing inventory to ensure optimum sales and inventory turnover, and overseeing inventory resources to ensure high quality and First In First Out (FIFO).

• Manage the warehouse budget, striving to maximize efficiency and minimize costs, while also monitoring operation expenses.

• Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies utilized at warehouses to ensure sanitation and safety standards while also ensuring facility meets government regulations and environmental, health, and security standards.

Supervision: Employee will manage at least 30 reports including, but not limited to: Packing managers, Operation assistants, QC Inspectors, Repack Employees, and Shipping and Receiving Employees

Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomics, Quality Management, Quality Control or any related Agriculture or Quality-based fields of study, plus at least one (1) years of post-degree, progressively responsible experience in any related position(s) through which the required experience was gained.

Additionally, qualified applicants must also have demonstrable proficiency, skill, experience, and knowledge with the following:

1. Famous ERP

2. Edible ERP

3. USDA Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) database and associated tools

4. iTradeNetwork

5. Microsoft Power BI

6. Microsoft SQL

7. QC Forms or My QC report
