Job Description We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a full‑time clinical research project manager in a high‑profile, cutting‑edge clinical research program on posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) under the direction of Principal Investigators Rachel Yehuda, Amy Lehrner, and Janine Flory. The project manager will be involved in research conducted by the Sinai Center for Psychedelic Psychotherapy and Trauma Research and the James J Peters VA Medical Center (Bronx). The project manager will create and execute plans for complex research projects that may include clinical trials and biological studies of PTSD. This position will include supervisory responsibility for research coordinators and will answer to senior operations and investigative staff. The manager will be responsible for oversight of day‑to‑day operations of research studies, completion and maintenance of regulatory documents, facilitating project‑related meetings and coordination with an interdisciplinary research team. The manager will track project status and changes, notify management when issues arise, and assist with taking corrective action as needed. Current studies in the lab include clinical trials of psychedelic‑assisted therapies, generation of stem cells for in‑vitro investigations of molecular underpinnings of PTSD, meditation for PTSD, and the use of hydrocortisone for patients being treated in emergency departments following a traumatic experience. Responsibilities Plans, directs and coordinates activities of designated project(s) to ensure that goals or objectives of the project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters. May participate in budget development for the project. Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project(s). Ensures all staffing requirements and allotment of available resources to various phases of project met. May contribute to the performance evaluation of the employees associated with the project scope and may evaluate vendors and consultants and their effectiveness and ability to deliver as promised. Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of project, and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel. Confers with staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority. Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget, including consultants and other outside vendors. Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required. Prepares project reports for management, client, or others. Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems. May oversee participating members of the project to ensure communication is timely and accurate, and that the project needs are met, including documentation for the project. Performs other related duties. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or greater preferred, or combination of applicable work experience and education. 3+ years of relevant experience with Master's degree; 5+ years with Bachelor's degree; project management‑specific experience preferred. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills; ability to work independently with careful attention to detail; flexibility and strong problem‑solving skills; experience in clinical research settings.
