Role Description The Tennis Teaching Professional is a full-time, on-site role based at Weymouth Club in Weymouth, MA. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality tennis instruction to players of all ages and skill levels through private lessons, group clinics, and junior development programs. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and conducting engaging, progressive lessons, providing technical and tactical coaching, and promoting safe, respectful play on the court. The Tennis Teaching Professional will help organize and support leagues, social events, and tournaments, while fostering a positive, inclusive, and motivating environment for members. Additional duties include communicating with players and families about schedules and progress, collaborating with other staff to grow tennis participation, and maintaining professional standards that reflect the club’s values. Qualifications Strong tennis teaching and coaching skills, with the ability to instruct a range of ages and ability levels. Knowledge of tennis technique, strategy, and match play, including player development principles. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on creating an inclusive and encouraging environment. Ability to plan and organize lessons, clinics, and programs, including time management and scheduling. Professionalism in working with members, colleagues, and families, including reliability and strong customer service. Physical ability to demonstrate strokes, run drills, and work on court for extended periods. Relevant coaching certifications (e.g., USPTA, PTR) or equivalent experience strongly preferred.
