Job Title

Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU / IMC / Stepdown)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours per Week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care / Intermediate Care / Stepdown unit setting
• Monitor and assess patients requiring a higher level of observation than a general medical-surgical floor
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as ordered by the care team
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the medical record

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or a valid Compact State RN license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Prior experience in a PCU, IMC, or Stepdown nursing environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills in an intermediate care setting
