Summary The Respiratory Therapist II – MMC BID SAN role performs diagnostic tests of cardiovascular and pulmonary systems to aid physicians/advanced practice practitioners in diagnosing and treating heart, lung, and blood vessel disorders. Administers respiratory care modalities and life support to patients with cardiovascular deficiencies and abnormalities, under supervision of the physician/advanced practice practitioner. Performs charge role and precepts new team members and students. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs) Education: Graduate from AMA approved school of Respiratory Therapy. License/Certifications: Current applicable state license in Respiratory Care, RRT, or CRRT required; Current BLS Certification required; Current ACLS, PALS and NRP Certifications required or must be obtained within one year of start date. Experience: One year of acute care experience required. Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of a Respiratory Therapist role.
