Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a school-based Physical Therapist in the Ypsilanti, MI area. Start as soon as December and make a meaningful impact by providing expert care and encouragement for learners, helping them reach their fullest potential every day. This is a part-time position, with additional scheduling details to be shared as they become available.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in Michigan
- Experience in pediatric or school-based physical therapy preferred
- Ability to create and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to student needs
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with educational teams, families, and administration
- Familiarity with IEP process, documentation, and compliance regulations is a plus
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Positive attitude and a passion for helping students achieve their goals
Responsibilities:
- Deliver physical therapy services to students in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Assess, plan, and carry out interventions aimed at improving mobility, access, and participation in school activities
- Advocate for students' physical needs and accommodations within the educational setting
- Communicate progress and recommendations clearly to staff, parents, and other stakeholders
- Maintain accurate records and meet documentation requirements
- Contribute to multi-disciplinary team meetings as needed
