Regional Specification Sales Engineer, Pipe & Fittings (CA, NV, AZ & NM)

Sales (Specification) Engineer - South-West Region (California, Nevada, Arizona, & New Mexico) We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Engineer who wishes to work with our sales team as a sales engineer with a focus on sales support through product specifications. This position will interface with sales, product development, quality control, manufacturing and technical services to ensure Westlake Pipe & Fittings products are properly positioned in the market. Primary responsibilities include: Working closely with the South-West Regional sales team, promoting Westlake Pipe & Fitting's products by ensuring our products are eligible for tender via qualifying our products for use on upcoming large projects and general usage within the South-West Region Working closely with contractors, consulting engineers, municipal engineering departments and regional governments throughout the South-West Region to ensure correct design, specification and application of our complete product line within the municipal sector Attending and presenting at technical conferences and participating in industry technical committees Providing the sales team with technical sales support throughout the South-West Region Regular traveling throughout assigned territory with particular emphasis on fast growing areas of the Region while liaising with municipal engineering departments and consulting engineers Delivering technical presentations to municipalities and consulting engineers Qualifications: Graduation from a Civil Engineering program with a Professional Engineer license 5-10 years of relevant industry-specific sales or engineering experience Business school (MBA) preferred Keen interest in becoming a key player in a successful, historically fast-growing sales region Location and travel requirements: Flexible within the region; travel expected up to 75% of the time (once every 2 weeks minimum, up to 3 weeks per month) Currently residing in NV, AZ or NM near a major airport preferred We offer a strong package of competitive compensation, including multiple bonus plans, medical and retirement benefits.
