This comprehensive OB/GYN role provides a fulfilling combination of outpatient services, gynecological surgeries, and inpatient duties, specifically covering The Birthplace. Physicians in this position will engage in scheduled shifts and offer backup support for labor and delivery, obstetric triage, and urgent gynecological care. This role is essential in delivering extensive women's health services throughout the medical center, ensuring continuity of care for patients across the health system.

The responsibilities encompass full-spectrum OB care, management of both routine and complex gynecological cases, and surgical opportunities in the Operating Room and Ambulatory Surgery Center. The Birthplace features 24/7 in-house anesthesia and CRNA support, a significant advantage not commonly found in many community hospitals. Additionally, GYN Oncology services are accessible through our collaboration with a leading medical institution.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive prenatal care, conduct well-woman examinations, provide contraceptive and preconception counseling, and manage high-risk pregnancies with maternal-fetal medicine support as necessary.

• Administer gynecological services, including annual check-ups, assessment and treatment of menstrual and menopausal issues, contraceptive management, and minor in-office procedures.

• Oversee full-scope coverage at The Birthplace, managing laboring patients and addressing urgent obstetric and gynecological situations.

• Carry out gynecological surgeries in both the Operating Room and Ambulatory Surgery Center.

• Collaborate with nurses, midwives, medical students, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

• Engage in labor and delivery protocols, quality improvement initiatives, and ongoing efforts to uphold high standards of patient-centered care.

• Operate within a system that provides 24/7 midwifery coverage in labor and delivery/The Birthplace.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

• Familiarity with EPIC EMR is preferred.

• Open to recent graduates or those new to the field.

• Strong clinical skills and a commitment to evidence-based practices.

• Exceptional communication abilities and the capacity to excel in a fast-paced clinical setting.
