Responsibilities Draft, author, and review licensing documents for 10 CFR Part 30, 40, and 70 (e.g., Safety Analysis Report and Environmental Report) Coordinate with project stakeholders to prepare responses to NRC audit questions and requests for additional information Interface with the Licensing Team to complete licensing tasks Coordinate with design personnel to ensure designs and design changes meet regulatory requirements Prepare, review, and maintain licensing documentation in compliance with regulations and strict quality assurance standards Interface with technical discipline teams at TerraPower, partners, and contractors Review correspondence to and from regulatory agencies Develop licensing strategies to support project goals Key Qualifications and Skills Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited, four-year university or equivalent experience Capability and willingness to adhere to strict quality assurance standards Demonstrated, applicable experience in nuclear licensing, or comparable field 10 years plus experience with 10 CFR regulations and guidance 10 years plus experience with NRC licensing actions involving 10 CFR 30, 40, and 70 applications Self-starter with ability to manage deadlines Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel) and Adobe Professional Strong communication skills High degree of trust and integrity, with respect and a desire to foster teamwork Actual position starting level and title will be determined based on assessment of qualifications Job Functions Motor Abilities: Sitting and/or standing for extended periods, bending/stooping, grasping/gripping, fine motor control (hands) Physical exertion and/or requirements: Minimal, with ability to safely lift up to 25 pounds Repetitive work: Prolonged Special senses: Visual and audio focused work Work conditions: Stairs, typing/keyboard, standard and/or sitting working environment of >8 hrs./day Travel required: 0-10% Salary Salary Range 9: $99,041 - $148,561 Salary Range 10: $113,605 - $170,408 Typically, our employee salaries are within .90 – 1.0 of the mid-point of the posted salary bands. This range is specific to Washington State.
