Responsibilities Mayo Clinic has expanded its Transplant Center by launching a Lung Transplant Program in Arizona, with transplant evaluations and the first successful transplant in the first quarter of 2025. It has complemented the well-established kidney, pancreas, liver, and heart transplant programs. Qualifications New Grads will not be considered at this time, 2+ years of NP or PA surgical experience required! Acute Care Nurse Practitioner: Masters‑prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current AZ RN and APRN license and certification as an ACNP. Physician Assistant: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the AZ State Board of Medical Practice. Additional Qualifications: Active BLS, ACLS, and RN First Assist certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross at start date and DEA registration required. Excellent verbal, written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated leadership ability. Flexibility to adjust schedule to meet patient and staff needs. Ability to manage time and stress effectively and adapt to unpredictable situations within the patient care setting. Two to five years of clinical experience preferred. Primary care, acute care, and/or surgical experience preferred. Strong computer skills in an Electronic Medical Record preferred. Exemption Status Exempt Compensation Detail Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. Benefits Eligible Yes Schedule Full Time Hours/Pay Period 80 Schedule Details 4x 10hr shifts. Night, weekend and holiday call. Weekend Schedule 1 in 3 weekends, 1 in 3 night call.
