PRN Pharmacist - Long Term Care

The Pharmacist is responsible for supporting pharmacy management’s goals within the dispensing pharmacy, providing routine and emergency comprehensive drug screening, information, processing, and dispensing services for various drug distribution systems. Location and Hours 15491 SW 12 Street Suite 400, Sunrise, FL 33326 Hours: every third weekend from 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.; availability to cover shifts during the week as needed, including night shift 3:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. Primary Responsibilities Execute day‑to‑day operations in the pharmacy as they pertain to workflow, production quotas, and deadlines. Ensure pharmacy compliance with all local, state, federal, and DEA regulations, as well as third‑party payer contract rules. Supervise pharmacy production staff to ensure proper order entry, workflow, security of the pharmacy area, and adherence to delivery schedules. Check for completeness and accuracy of all new and refill labels and orders, and of all drug packaging and labeling. Prepare and/or supervise all sterile IV drug products or solutions. Assist in the ordering, handling, receiving, documentation, and storage of all controlled substances; maintain a perpetual inventory for schedule II drugs. Provide evening, weekend, and holiday coverage during scheduled on‑call rotation and as required by management. Clear daily workflow dashboard. Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA. Overtime, holidays, and weekends may be required and/or expected. Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code. Other duties as assigned. Work Environment Operates in a long‑term care facility; uses standard office and pharmacy equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, rolling carts, and fax machines. Work may be performed in a loud environment. Physical Demands The employee must sit or stand seven to ten hours per day. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, walk, crawl intermittently. May be necessary to work extended hours as needed. Benefits and Pay Pay ranges from $44.09 to $78.70 per hour for full‑time employment, based on local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, and other factors.
