Arcosa Traffic Structures is currently hiring for fitter/welders for the plant operation in Sumterville, FL. Fitter/welders position pieces to be welded, complete final welds and/or multi-pass welds, and inspect completed work for conformance to specifications.

Arcosa Traffic Structures can provide engineer designed structures and state DOT specified designed structures to fit your project requirements.

What you'll do:

• Complete final welds and/or multi-pass welds
• Position pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides, and steps using measuring instruments and hand tools
• Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications
• Follow all safety rules and practices
• Maintain and complete all required records
• May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
• Other job duties as assigned

What you'll need:

• 2+ years of welding experience preferred
• Pass 3G Weld Test
• Flux Core experience
• Follow all safety rules and practices
• The ability to maintain reliable and predictable good attendance
• A high level of dependability, a great attitude, and an ability to work well with a team towards achieving a common goal
