Springs Dentist, a holistic dental practice in Colorado Springs, CO is looking for an experienced and motivated Lead Expanded Duty Dental Assistant (EDDA) to join our dedicated dental team. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a leadership role where your clinical expertise and passion for patient care truly shine. - Perform expanded duty dental assisting functions in compliance with Colorado state regulations
- Lead and mentor dental assisting staff, providing guidance and support to ensure clinical excellence
- Assist the dentist chairside during a variety of procedures including restorative, preventive, and surgical treatments
- Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays) and perform intraoral photography
- Place and finish restorations, take impressions, and perform other EDDA-approved procedures
- Maintain sterilization protocols and ensure a clean, safe, and OSHA-compliant clinical environment
- Coordinate patient flow and assist with scheduling to maximize office efficiency
- Active Colorado EDDA certification required
- Minimum 4+ years of dental assisting experience, with leadership or lead experience preferred
- Current Radiation Safety certification and CPR/BLS certification
- Proficiency with dental software and digital radiography systems
- Strong knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and infection control protocols
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered, compassionate demeanor
- Ability to lead by example, multitask, and remain calm in a busy clinical setting
