Job Type: Non-Exempt Position: 1 Duration of role: Permanent Reporting to: EHS Manager Location: Red Lion, PA About The Role The EHS Coordinator is responsible for supporting and advancing the organization's Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs through the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), risk assessments, safe work practices, and compliance management systems. This role serves as a key resource for identifying workplace hazards, evaluating operational risks, and establishing standardized processes that ensure regulatory compliance and protect employees, contractors, visitors, and company assets. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical writing skills, a systematic approach to hazard identification, and the ability to collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering, and management teams to integrate safety into daily operations. What You'll Do Adhere to the Employee Handbook, Group Code of Conduct, the Group Compliance Policy, the IMS Policy, and all other applicable company policies and procedures. Maintain awareness of the requirements of, and their individual contribution to and impact on the effectiveness of, the Integrated Management System (IMS), including Quality, Health & Safety, Environmental and Product Compliance objectives and requirements. Report on unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, incidents, and injuries, quality issues, compliance concerns, violations to the appropriate personnel without delay. Participate in required training, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives. All employees are required to adhere to the Group Code of Conduct and Group Compliance Policy. Employees are responsible for reporting compliance concerns, issues, or failures through appropriate channels and for participating in required compliance training. Risk Assessment & Hazard Analysis Lead and facilitate workplace risk assessments across manufacturing, warehouse, maintenance, and office environments. Conduct Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Job Safety Analyses (JSAs),and ergonomic assessments. Identify hazards, assess risk levels, and develop practical mitigation strategies using hierarchy of controls principles. Support Management of Change (MOC) processes by evaluating safety impacts of new equipment, processes, materials, and organizational changes. Develop and maintain site risk registers and corrective action tracking systems. Participate in incident investigations and root cause analyses to identify procedural and systemic improvements. Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Development & Management Lead the development, review, revision, and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Safe Work Instructions (SWIs), and operational standards. Collaborate with department leaders and subject matter experts to document critical operational processes and safety requirements. Ensure SOPs comply with OSHA, EPA, company standards, and industry best practices. Establish and maintain document control processes for all EHS procedures and work instructions. Conduct periodic reviews and audits of SOP effectiveness and recommend improvements. Facilitate employee engagement in procedure development to improve ownership and compliance. Develop process flow diagrams, job task analyses, and work instructions to support operational excellence. EHS Compliance & Program Administration Assist in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local EHS regulations. Support EHS programs including: Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Confined Space Entry Hot Work Machine Guarding Chemical Safety Hazard Communication Contractor Management Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Emergency Response Industrial Hygiene Conduct routine workplace inspections and compliance audits. Monitor corrective actions and verify closure of identified deficiencies. Assist with environmental compliance activities, inspections, and reporting requirements as needed. Training & Employee Engagement Develop and deliver EHS training programs related to SOPs, risk assessments, and safe work practices. Facilitate employee participation in hazard reporting and continuous improvement initiatives. Support onboarding and orientation programs for new employees and contractors. Evaluate training effectiveness through observation, audits, and competency assessments. Promote a proactive safety culture through employee coaching and engagement activities. Lead effective Joint Health and Safety Committees Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing risk and improving operational consistency. What You'll Need Minimum one to two years of experience in EHS, safety, or compliance roles. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental standards, and workplace safety practices. Experience developing and implementing SOPs, work instructions, and safety procedures. Experience conducting risk assessments, JSAs, JHAs, or similar hazard analysis activities. Strong technical writing and document management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods. Ability to communicate effectively via phone, email, and virtual platforms. Ability to review data, reports, and documentation for extended durations. Ability to travel to business locations or operational sites as required. Ability to perform light physical activity including standing, walking, and occasional lifting. What You'll Get Pay range: $25/hr USD to $30/hr USD.
