What it’s like to work at United Way
Are you passionate about empowering children and youth? Do you believe in the power of community to create meaningful, lasting change? If so, you’ve come to the right place.
At United Way of Larimer County, we’re building a future where every child has the support they need to thrive. We’re driving real impact by expanding access to affordable child care, strengthening family financial stability, promoting literacy, and building community hubs that bring essential resources together under one roof.
We are committed to advancing equity, closing disparity gaps, and expanding opportunity for those historically excluded from access and resources.
As part of our fun, collaborative team, you’ll work alongside dedicated partners to champion innovative solutions that uplift kids and families across Larimer County. Enjoy great benefits, including generous PTO, a hybrid work schedule, paid health benefits, and more!
We welcome diverse perspectives and encourage candidates from historically excluded groups to apply. If you’re passionate about our mission — even if you don’t meet every qualification — we’d love to hear from you!
Scope of Position
The Community Hubs Manager, supervised by the Senior Manager of Community Hubs, serves as the on-site lead for the Loveland Youth Campus, a shared space where multiple nonprofit organizations work together to support children, youth, and families.
This role plays a key part in ensuring the campus is a welcoming, active, and well-coordinated environment. The Community Hubs Manager builds strong relationships with partner organizations, supports day-to-day coordination across the campus, and helps bring people together through meetings, events, shared learning and collaborative efforts. This position also helps strengthen the Loveland Youth Campus as a trusted community hub by supporting partner communication, campus activation, and opportunities for deeper connection across organizations.
Working closely with nonprofit partners, community members, and internal United Way staff, this role helps ensure that the campus runs smoothly and that partners feel supported in their work. The position also contributes to community outreach, storytelling, and continuous improvement efforts that strengthen the overall impact and long-term success of the campus.
This role is highly collaborative and well-suited for someone who enjoys building relationships, organizing moving pieces, and creating spaces where people and organizations can thrive together.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner & Community Hub Coordination: Build and maintain strong relationships with nonprofit partners on-site, serving as a primary point of contact for day-to-day coordination. Facilitate partner meetings and conversations, helping organizations stay connected, aligned, and working collaboratively toward shared goals.
- Partner Communication & Documentation: Maintain clear partner communication, meeting notes, shared updates, and documentation that supports transparency, alignment, and continuity across the campus. Track key conversations, next steps, partner needs, and follow-up items to help ensure work continues moving forward.
- Space & Campus Coordination: Coordinate the use of shared spaces to ensure the campus is active, welcoming, and well-utilized. Manage scheduling and logistics for meetings and activities while troubleshooting day-to-day needs as they arise.
- Partner Onboarding & Transitions: Engage with prospective partners to understand their programs, goals, community impact, and space needs. Support the creation of a partner application, review, and selection process. Collaborate with internal team members to ensure smooth onboarding, clear expectations, strong communication, and an overall positive partner experience.
- Community Engagement & Representation: Represent the Loveland Youth Campus and United Way in community meetings, school districts, and local networks. Build relationships with community constituents and identify opportunities to connect new partners, programs, and resources to the campus.
- Communications & Storytelling: Support the development of newsletters, flyers, and digital communications that highlight campus activity and impact. Gather stories from partners and assist with donor tours to help communicate the value of the campus.
- Events & Partner Programming: Coordinate and support events, trainings, and partner gatherings that bring people together and strengthen collaboration. Help create an environment where shared learning, connection, and engagement are a consistent part of the campus experience.
- Learning, Evaluation & Continuous Improvement: Gather feedback from partners and participants to understand what is working well, where improvements can be made, and what support partners need to be successful. Support hub evaluation efforts by helping collect partner feedback, track participation and engagement, document stories of impact, and identify themes that can improve campus coordination and communicate impact to internal teams, funders, and partners.
- Hub Growth & Activation: Identify opportunities to increase campus activity, bring in aligned programs or resources, and strengthen the Loveland Youth Campus as a trusted community hub for children, youth, families, and partners. Support efforts that help the campus feel active, connected, and responsive to community needs.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams across United Way to align efforts and support campus success. Coordinate with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Larimer County, who manage building operations, to ensure a seamless and positive experience for partners.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant Professional Experience: 3–5 years of experience in community engagement, nonprofit work, partnerships, or program coordination, with a strong understanding of how to support collaborative, community-based efforts.
- Communication, Facilitation & Relationship Building: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust, facilitate conversations and group meetings, create space for multiple perspectives, and help partners move from discussion to shared next steps. Ability to maintain strong relationships with partners, community members, and colleagues while balancing warmth, clarity, and accountability.
- Multi-Partner Coordination: Experience working with multiple partners or constituents at the same time, with the ability to balance competing needs and priorities.
- Organizational & Coordination Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage many moving pieces, coordinate logistics, and keep work moving forward.
- Adaptability in Dynamic Environments: Comfort working in a fast-paced, people-centered environment where priorities may shift and flexibility is needed.
- Problem-Solving & Initiative: Ability to troubleshoot challenges, think critically, and adapt approaches as needs evolve.
- Tools & Documentation Practices: Experience using tools and systems to support coordination (e.g., scheduling platforms, project management tools, or shared drives) and maintaining clear, organized documentation of meetings, processes, and partner information.
We welcome candidates with diverse professional and educational backgrounds. Formal education is not required for this position. We value a wide range of life, leadership, and learning experiences, including grassroots organizing, volunteer coordination, and community-based work. What matters most is your ability to build trust, coordinate across multiple partners, support inclusive shared spaces, and help people and organizations work together toward a common purpose.
