Processing Assistant

The Glencoe Public Library is looking for its next Processing Assistant. Utilize your impeccable attention to detail and organizational skills with a library team that values community, service, and intellectual freedom. This is an hourly, non-exempt position responsible for processing, repair, and withdrawal of library materials. The Processing Assistant reports directly to the Head of Technical Services. Come join our library as it embarks on a renovation that will revitalize our library building and will allow us to reimagine our collections, services, and programming. The Glencoe community recently approved a $17.5 million bond referendum to renovate and update our historic building, including a greatly expanded programming space, with groundbreaking expected in mid-2027. The Processing Assistant works up to 19 hours/week. Schedule is subject to change and is dependent on department and library needs. This position has a minimum-to-midpoint hourly wage range of $15.12 to $18.90.
