Overview
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – Zzz Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, traveling assignment in Belle Fourche, South Dakota. This 13-week contract begins on 06/22/2026 and is based in a long-term care setting. The position offers a weekly pay range of 1,369 to 1,394 per week and guarantees 36 hours per week. Shift is Days. This travel assignment is managed as a temporary engagement through Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Provide and document OT interventions under the supervision of an occupational therapist, including activity-based therapy, range-of-motion work, strength training, and functional mobility exercises.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living and compensatory strategies to promote independence and safety in daily routines.
- Support gait training, balance activities, assistive device fittings, and adaptive equipment use as appropriate to resident goals.
- Monitor resident response to therapy, document progress, and communicate changes to the supervising OT to support updates to the treatment plan.
- Maintain a clean, organized therapy space, manage equipment and supplies, and uphold infection control and safety standards.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to align therapy goals with overall care plans and participate in care conferences as needed.

Requirements
- Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license in South Dakota or eligibility for SD licensure.
- Graduation from an accredited OTA program (associate degree or equivalent).
- Ability to perform therapy interventions in a skilled nursing/long-term care setting under OT supervision.
- Strong communication skills, documentation accuracy, and ability to work collaboratively with staff and residents.
- Availability to work the Day shift and meet the assignment’s guaranteed hours.
