Construction Client Accountant

Remote | Construction Accounting | Sage 100 Contractor | Client Facing Syscon, Inc. is looking for an experienced construction accountant to support multiple construction clients with day-to-day accounting, payroll, job costing, billing, reconciliations, and month-end close. This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable working directly with clients, managing competing priorities, and working in construction accounting systems. Please Read Before Applying Recent, Hands-on Sage 100 Contractor Experience Is Strongly Preferred. Sage 100 Contractor is a specific product and is not the same as Sage 100, Sage 300 CRE/Timberline, Sage Intacct, Sage 50, or other Sage products. Candidates without Sage 100 Contractor experience should have substantial, recent construction accounting experience in a robust construction ERP environment. This role also requires strong hands-on construction accounting and payroll experience. A background primarily in QuickBooks or general bookkeeping is not sufficient What You'll Do Manage day-to-day accounting for multiple construction clients Process payroll and related payroll taxes, filings, and compliance responsibilities Perform job costing, reconciliations, month-end close, and billing support Support WIP, progress billing, AP, AR, audit, and year-end accounting needs Maintain accurate accounting records and resolve routine accounting issues Manage multiple client deadlines and communicate directly with clients What You Bring Strong, recent hands-on construction accounting experience Experience working with contractors, subcontractors, or construction-related businesses.
