Job Summary / Basic Function Adjunct Instructors are hired in a part-time capacity on an as needed basis. These positions are filled prior to or during each semester and are contingent upon the needs of the College. Brazosport College accepts application materials for pool positions on a continuing basis throughout the year from qualified applicants willing to teach on a part-time basis. Academic departments will contact potential applicants when there are available openings. Job Duties Reports to the Division Chair of Social Sciences and Business Teaches Criminal Justice classes using traditional and alternative delivery methods College benefits do not accrue with this part-time position. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in Criminal Justice or Behavioral Science with a focus in Criminal Justice or Criminology Master’s degree in Criminal Justice or Behavioral Science with a focus in Criminal Justice or Criminology Must be eligible to obtain the instructor’s certification from Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education (TCLEOSE) Minimum of three years of experience as a Texas peace officer; Interest in alternative instructional delivery methods Other qualities, experiences, and skills that enhance one’s value to the institution Exceptional employment or educational qualifications may be given special consideration as long as Southern Association (SACS) minimum educational credentials are met Desirable Qualifications: Teaching experience in a Criminal Justice program at the community college level will be a plus Bilingual language skills preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr BRAZOSPORT COLLEGE
