Patient Service Representative

$18.2 per hour

Job Details Position Summary: A front‑desk role that supports patient care and office operations in a healthcare setting. Key responsibilities include answering phone calls, addressing patient inquiries, managing patient charts and medical records, overseeing office supplies, maintaining accurate patient census, updating schedules, monitoring inboxes for medication refills, appointments, and referrals, ensuring necessary forms and consents are completed before patient visits, and assisting with check‑in and check‑out processes and insurance verification. Required Experience: Minimum one year of front‑desk experience in a medical office or outpatient ambulatory care setting. Proficiency with computer and EMR systems and familiarity with medical insurance, terminology, and office routines. Preferred Experience: Cardiovascular practice experience and two to four years in a customer‑service oriented environment. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree preferred. License and Credentials: None required. Required Skills: Effective communication with patients, physicians, and colleagues; knowledge of EMR systems. Preferred Skills: Bilingual Spanish/English. Hours: 80 hours per pay period. Compensation: Starting rate of $18.20 per hour, with potential adjustments based on experience, education, credentials, and internal equity.
