ANALYST III - ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES TRAINING DIVISION / MCCLELLAN TRAINING CENTER / MCLELLAN, CA
The California Department of Parks and Recreation is seeking a highly motivated and analytical professional to serve as the Training Operations Coordinator within the Administrative Services Division's Training Section.
The incumbent serves as the Training Section lead analyst for statewide instructor travel administration and compliance, evaluating travel activities, administrative processes, and compliance requirements; developing recommendations to improve efficiency and accountability; and providing consultative guidance regarding travel policies and procedures.
The position also serves as the Training Section lead analyst for personnel administration, records management, and workforce support activities, while providing analytical support to management on complex operational, organizational, and programmatic issues. Responsibilities include conducting analyses, developing recommendations, coordinating administrative processes, preparing reports and correspondence, supporting special projects, and collaborating with Program Managers, Training Specialists, Human Resources, Accounting, and external partners. This position is designated as telework eligible - office centered.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, experience evaluating administrative processes and operational impacts, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Describe a time when you used data, reports, or performance metrics to identify a trend, compliance issue, or operational concern. What analysis did you perform, what conclusions did you reach, and how did you communicate your findings and recommendations to management?
