The primary responsibility of this position is to provide outpatient neuropsychological evaluation and consultation for children and adolescents with a wide range of medical, neurological, and neurodevelopmental conditions affecting the central nervous system (CNS). You'll be joining a team of eight skilled pediatric neuropsychologists and working closely with interdisciplinary teams across various specialty areas. This role offers the opportunity to practice within a robust pediatric medical setting where your work will directly inform diagnosis, guide treatment planning, and support long-term management for patients with complex medical needs. Clinical referrals commonly originate from services including:
• Neurology
• Neurosurgery
• Oncology & Hematology
• Cardiology
• Metabolic & Genetic Disorders
• Concussion & Sports Medicine Key Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive, developmentally appropriate neuropsychological assessments for children and adolescents with CNS-related conditions
• Provide meaningful clinical feedback and consultation to families and medical teams regarding diagnosis, cognitive functioning, educational planning, and treatment recommendations
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated, whole-child care
• Supervise and mentor trainees including graduate students, interns, postdoctoral fellows, and medical residents, as part of Phoenix Children's educational mission
• Participate in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives aligned with your interests and institutional priorities
• Engage in academic activities, with faculty appointment opportunities through the University of Arizona College of Medicine and potential affiliations with Mayo Clinic, Creighton University, and Midwestern University Qualifications
• Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) from an APA- or CPA-accredited program in clinical psychology or a related field with formal training in neuropsychology
• Completion of an APA- or CPA-accredited internship
• Completion of a 2-year postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric neuropsychology
• Licensed in the State of Arizona prior to the start date
• Board certification (or actively pursuing board certification) in Clinical Neuropsychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP)
• Demonstrated expertise in pediatric neuropsychological assessment within a medical setting
• Strong clinical, interpersonal, communication, and writing skills

Provide neuropsychological diagnostic and therapeutic services/procedures in the ambulatory and inpatient setting.
- Support the medical education programs and activities of the division
Provide direction supervision of psychological and neuropsychological for medical students, residents, fellows and allied health care professionals for the delivery of inpatient and outpatient services
- Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested.
