This position is responsible for coordinating production activities, monitoring schedules and material availability, maintaining accurate production and inventory information, and supporting the timely flow of work through the manufacturing process. The Production Control Supervisor works closely with Customer Service, Production, Purchasing, Shipping, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Plant Management to ensure production priorities, materials, and information are aligned to meet customer delivery requirements.This position plays an important role in identifying production delays, inventory discrepancies, material shortages, and scheduling concerns while maintaining accurate ERP transactions and supporting continuous improvement throughout the plant.Compensation & SchedulePay Range: $66,000-85,000/year

(Starting rate commensurate with experience)First ShiftMonday – Thursday 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM Friday 7:00 AM – 11:00 AMTo get a head start in the hiring process and receive an interview faster, complete our Culture Index Survey: ResponsibilitiesProduction Planning & ControlCoordinate production schedules and priorities with Customer Service and Production.Monitor production progress and identify delays, bottlenecks, and schedule risks.Coordinate material availability and work-in-process to support production schedules.Communicate production priorities, delays, material shortages, and schedule changes.Participate in DVM meetings and communicate required actions.Monitor job variances and assist with investigating production and material issues.Inventory & ERP ControlMaintain accurate raw material, WIP, and finished goods inventory.Perform cycle counts and investigate inventory discrepancies.Process purchase orders, requisitions, receiving, and inventory transactions in the ERP system.Close completed production jobs and investigate negative inventory and transaction errors.Monitor inventory movement and identify opportunities to improve accuracy and material flow.Reporting & Data AnalysisGenerate and review production, inventory, transaction, and job variance reports.Analyze data to identify trends, discrepancies, production risks, and opportunities for improvement.Maintain accurate production and inventory records.Follow up on system and transaction errors to ensure timely correction.Communication & DocumentationMaintain production notes, schedules, and required documentation.Communicate effectively with Production, Customer Service, Purchasing, Shipping, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Plant Management.Provide timely updates regarding production delays, material concerns, inventory discrepancies, and customer delivery risks.Continuous Improvement & SafetyIdentify opportunities to improve production flow, inventory accuracy, scheduling, and efficiency.Assist with identifying root causes and resolving recurring production issues.Follow and promote company safety, quality, and operational requirements.Key Performance ExpectationsThe Production Control Coordinator contributes to: On-time delivery and customer satisfactionProduction schedule attainmentAccurate inventory and ERP transactionsEffective material flowReduction of production delays and inventory errorsAccurate reporting and dataContinuous improvement of plant processesEffective communication between departmentsQualifications2- or 4-year degree in manufacturing, operations, supply chain, business, or related field; equivalent manufacturing experience may be considered.Manufacturing experience preferred, particularly in metal fabrication or a similar environment.Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.Experience with ERP/MRP systems preferred.Ability to analyze data, identify discrepancies, and follow issues through resolution.Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.What You BringPositive attitude and willingness to learn.Strong attention to detail and follow-through.Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.Ability to communicate effectively across departments.Mechanical aptitude and ability to understand metal fabrication processes.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Pride in supporting quality work and team success.Why Join Standard Iron?Competitive wagesQuarterly Profit SharingMedical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance401(k) with Company MatchPaid Time Off80 Hours of Paid HolidaysEmployee Referral Bonus ProgramCareer Advancement OpportunitiesCross-Training and Skill DevelopmentStable Employment with a Growing Manufacturing LeaderSafety-Focused, Team-Oriented CultureIf you’re looking for a long-term career with a company that values teamwork, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement, we encourage you to apply.
