Hours: 36 hours weekly, 7pm - 7am, Friday to Sunday


Location: Philadelphia, PA

Dates: June 29 - September 26, 2026 (possibility to extend)


Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our client's Medical Surgical/Oncology team. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic acute care environment providing high-quality patient care to adult medical-surgical patients, including those with oncology-related diagnoses.

The unit is currently expanding, creating an exciting opportunity for nurses who thrive in a fast-paced setting and are passionate about delivering exceptional patient-centered care. While the primary focus of this role is Medical-Surgical nursing, candidates must be comfortable with telemetry monitoring and complete required telemetry competency training.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical patients, including those with oncology diagnoses.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in clinical status.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Interpret and monitor telemetry data and communicate significant findings to the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records documentation.
• Adhere to all hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and patient safety standards.

Qualifications

Required:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Preferred:

• Medical Oncology nursing experience.
• Telemetry experience and competency in cardiac monitoring.
• Previous experience in a large academic medical center.
