Demonstrate an aptitude for the work performed. Experience working with students with special needs and/or disabilities preferred. Valid State of Ohio Educational Aide Permit. Successful BCII & FBI background checks Willingness to support special needs students at school-related extracurricular activities as needed. Ability to physically assist students with impairments, including escorting and therapeutic physical restraint. DUTIES: Work under the supervision of the General Education Teacher and Intervention Specialist to provide behavioral and academic support. Assist the teacher in the general supervision of student(s) and class activities as directed. Provide individual and small group support to students under the direction of the Intervention Specialist, General Education Teacher, and Administration. Prepare, obtain, and maintain student educational materials as directed. Collect and chart student data as directed. Maintain student confidentiality. Provide support services, including, but not limited to, hall escort/travel, lunch room and playground activities, entering and exiting buses/transportation, and restroom/toileting assistance (if needed). SALARY: As per the classified negotiated agreement.
