The group you’ll be a part ofThe Customer Support Business Group focuses on enabling our customers with premier customer support throughout their lifecycle with Lam. We drive performance, productivity, safety, and quality of customers installed base performance and deliver service and lifecycle solutions for their most critical equipment and processes.The impact you’ll makeAs a Technical Program Manager, you will play a critical role in driving the development and productization of advanced software solutions that power Lam’s global Service Business. You will lead cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality, scalable products while shaping the long‑term systems architecture that supports engineers, the field and customers worldwide. What you’ll doDrive complex, cross‑functional software programs from concept through implementation and deployment under established direction and strategyCollaborate actively with project teams by participating in planning, execution, and problem‑solving activities to support alignment and deliveryOwn assigned workstreams and deliverables, proactively tracking progress, implementing corrective actions, and escalating risks or blockers as neededExecute program plans including schedules, dependencies, risk tracking, and issue resolution across geographically distributed teamsTranslate business needs into actionable technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria in partnership with product and engineering teamsPartner with stakeholders across product, engineering, business, marketing, and field teams to support alignment, decision‑making, and successful executionTrack and manage feature execution, monitoring progress, quality, and readiness across projects and releasesContribute to the improvement of business systems, integrations, and processes by identifying gaps and driving targeted enhancementsPrepare and deliver clear program status updates, metrics, and communications for program stakeholders and leadershipWhat you'll doSupport operational excellence by applying and continuously improving processes, metrics, and delivery best practicesAnalyze program data, surface insights, and provide fact‑based recommendations to support informed decision‑makingApply and reinforce Agile/SAFe practices, supporting team adoption and continuous improvement in delivery executionAdvocate for customer and engineer experience by ensuring solutions meet defined requirements and deliver measurable valueYour leadership will accelerate Lam’s ability to deliver cutting‑edge service capabilities, strengthen our worldwide support infrastructure, and enable our teams and customers to achieve their strategic goals with confidence. Who we’re looking forMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience, or Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience, or PhD with 4+ years of experience, or equivalent industry experience8+ years of experience in technical program management, continuous improvement, or related technical or operational roles focused on program execution and deliveryAbility to travel up to 10% to engage with field users and gain firsthand understanding of customer, engineering, and operational requirementsDemonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and make effective decisions within defined scope to support implementation of technical, process, or operational improvementsStrong working knowledge of business process development, process controls, and aligning work‑item execution to defined organizational goals and outcomesRequired tool proficiency: Jira, Confluence, Workboard, or equivalent Agile and OKR platformsPreferred qualificationsExperience or domain knowledge in semiconductor fabrication, equipment operations, or related high‑tech industries Strong understanding of program management methodologies and experience with Product Development & Release (PDR) processes Relevant project/program management certifications such as PMP, CAPM, or Scrum Master Familiarity with OKR (Objectives and Key Results) frameworks for alignment and execution Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies; Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a plus Hands-on experience with Agile and/or Waterfall delivery methodologies Proficiency with program and project management tools such as MS Project, QuickBase, OfficeTimeline, or equivalent platforms Experience with organizational change management and adoption methodologies is a plus Demonstrated ability to champion field needs and drive alignment between customer-facing teams and internal organizations Our commitmentWe believe it is important for every person to feel valued, included, and empowered to achieve their full potential. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.#LI-BW2 SalaryCA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $104,000.00 - $231,000.00.The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role.
