Job Description: Day Support Activities (DSA) (LINN, MARION AND BENTON COUNITES)

Position Summary:

North Star Oregon LLC is seeking enthusiastic and dependable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our Day Support Activities (DSA) team in the Benton, Linn, Marion County areas. This role involves supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in group and one-on-one settings through meaningful community-based and on-site activities. Our goal is to enhance socialization, personal development, independence, and community inclusion. Position is part time with potential for full time hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate daily structured and spontaneous recreational, educational activities.
• Promote individual choice, autonomy, and engagement through personalized supports and group involvement.
• Assist participants in developing daily living skills, such as communication, mobility, money management, while assisting with community outings and activities.
• Implement person-centered goals as part of each individual’s support plan.
• Ensure all activities are delivered in a safe, inclusive, and respectful manner.
• Complete daily documentation, including attendance, progress notes, and incident reports as required by Oregon regulations.
• Provide transportation assistance and supervision during community outings.
• Collaborate with team members, families, and external partners to optimize support outcomes.

Qualifications - Preferred

• Experience working in a day program or community integration setting.
• Certification in CPR/First Aid and Oregon Intervention System (OIS) or willingness to obtain.
• Familiarity with Oregon’s DSA documentation requirements and service guidelines.

Working Conditions

Qualifications - Required

Must be 18 years or older.

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. (No violations, accidents within the last 5 years)

Ability to pass a criminal background check (per Oregon DHS standards).

Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills.

Physical ability to assist with mobility, transport, and adaptive supports as needed.
