Surgical Technician Rockville, MDPay From: $38.00MUST: 2+years of experience as a Surgical Technician or First AssistExperience assisting on orthopedic proceduresAbility to anticipate the needs of the surgeonArranging and passing instruments for proceduresExperience preparing operating rooms and patients for proceduresAbility to maintain and order equipment and supplies for the OR and ensure equipment is working properlyExperience cleaning and disinfecting equipment and instruments and maintaining a sterile areaEMR documentationSurgical Technician certificate or certification preferredBLSDUTIES: The duties of the Surgical Technician or First Assist include but are not limited to the following:Sterilize and set up equipment for orthopedic proceduresPrepare OR as needed prior to proceduresAssist physicians as neededEnsure all supplies and inventory available for surgical proceduresClean and sterilize equipment and instrumentsEnsure proper functioning of equipmentMaintain inventoryCheck for outdated itemsDocument and update information in patient's EMRCount and maintain tools and equipmentQuadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
