Cardiovascular Technician I
Assists in the acquisition of data by performing EKG, and with application of holter/event monitors independently; including explanation of test, application of electrodes using accepted techniques and placement. Assists with stress echo and nuclear stress testing according to hospital and departmental policy under the direct supervision of a nurse. Properly bills for completed procedures. Additional responsibilities include performing other duties as assigned, complying with all policies and standards, and maintaining Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.
Education: High School Equivalent / GED (Required)
Work Experience: 1+ years of experience as a MA, PCA, CTA or clinical partner in a cardiology setting (Preferred)
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Strong communication, problem-solving, teamwork and interpersonal skills (Required proficiency); Performs EKGs; (Required proficiency) basic computer skills and vital signs; (Required proficiency) manual blood pressures (Required proficiency)
Licenses and Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required)
