Driver

Delivery drivers make local-area deliveries and pick-ups to/from customers and suppliers. Drivers complete job duties by preparing, loading, unloading, operating, and cleaning our fleet; maintaining records; and helping develop sales.

Reports to: Store Manager

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to inspect, maintain, and operate a motor vehicle.
• Ability to load and unload our delivery vehicles from ground level or platforms in a variety of warehouse and construction jobsite situations.
• Ability to read and do math to correctly access warehouse materials for order picking, properly deliver orders, and correctly complete all paperwork for deliveries and pick-ups.
• Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmissions.
• Ability to pull and back bumper pull deck over trailers.
• Must have a current/valid drivers license.
• Must have the ability to pass a DOT physical.
• Must have an acceptable driving record.

Working Conditions:

• Warehouse environment and outdoor conditions including some extreme hot/cold temperatures.
• Deliveries will occur in all weather conditions including extreme hot/cold, rain, snow, ice and other seasonal conditions.

Supervisory Responsibilities: No

Essential Job Functions:

• Legally operate a motor vehicle and maintain a driving record that meets company standards.
• Load all order fulfillment materials onto truck for delivery and unload at delivery locations.
• Deliver/pick up merchandise to/from customers and suppliers promptly, efficiently, and in a professional manner.
• Perform daily inspection and maintenance on company vehicle.
• Communicate any vehicle mechanical problems to direct supervisor.
