Job Summary:
The Wheeling, West Virginia healthcare organization is seeking qualified Registered Nurses for a Step Down Unit in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMU). Candidates will be responsible for providing specialized nursing care, interpreting cardiac strips, titrating drips such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Labetolol, Nitro, and Heparin, and managing respiratory equipment with the support of respiratory therapists. This position requires candidates to bring their license on the first day of employment.

Job Details:

• Position: Charge Nurse/House Supervisor in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMU) beds 30 (14 private & 16 semi-private)
• Shift Schedule: 12-hour shifts, with shifts running from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., requiring staff to be on the unit ready by 6:45 a.m. or p.m.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license (must be willing to wait), minimum of 2 years of experience, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification, and EMR experience with Sunrise and EPIC systems.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience interpreting cardiac strips and titrating drips such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Labetolol, Nitro, and Heparin.
• Additional Information: All staff are required to float into rotation (Telemetry or Medical-Surgical units) as needed. Travelers should be flexible to work holidays, though holidays are often covered by permanent staff.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS Certification, NIHSS
• Experience: Minimum 2 years required
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, on the unit ready to start by 6:45 a.m./p.m., with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Submission Requirements: All submissions must include a copy of the candidate's unexpired driver's license and disclose licensing hits at the time of submission.
