Clinical Staff Pharmacist - Full Time Evening Shift

Franciscan Health Indianapolis Campus 8111 S Emerson Ave Indianapolis, Indiana 46237 The Clinical Staff Pharmacist provides generalized pharmacotherapy services to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations. The position prepares or supervises the preparation of routine pharmaceutical items and compounded sterile and non-sterile preparations. This position communicates and collaborates with physicians, Clinical Pharmacy Specialists, and patients to provide clinical consultation, monitor drug therapy, and offer cost‑effective alternatives as appropriate. What you can expect Consult with and advise other healthcare professionals and patients on selection, procurement, distribution, and safe and appropriate use of medications. Maintain records such as pharmacy files, inventories, controlled substance records, and registries. Manage the disposition of controlled substances and other dangerous drugs in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements. Monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications, drug‑drug interactions, drug‑food interactions, allergies, and appropriateness of drug and dose. Provide clinical pharmacy services, including pharmacokinetic consults, renal dosing, parenteral nutrition management, anticoagulation management, neonatal/pediatric/geriatric dosing management, route optimization, antimicrobial stewardship, and reviewing medications at transitions of care. Participate in scheduled in‑services, educational presentations, computer‑based training, and staff meetings to ensure ongoing understanding of and adherence to professional standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies and practices. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (required) Doctorate in Pharmacy (preferred) 1 year of Hospital Pharmacy experience (preferred) Registered Pharmacist (RPh) – State Licensing Board Basic Life Support Program (BLS) – American Heart Association (as required by unit) Evening shift times vary. Every 3rd weekend.
