Paramedic

The Paramedic will respond to EMS calls and perform a variety of functions related to the care and treatment of patients experiencing urgent and emergent medical situations. This role adheres to the appropriate rules, regulations, and protocols in accordance with the PA Department of Health EMS Act and scope of practice.

Travelers are expected to work 2 of the 3 upcoming major holidays: Thanksgiving Day/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day. If the contract spans only 2 of these holidays, the traveler will be required to work 1 of those 2. Please limit holiday off requests to 1.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency medical service calls.
• Provide advanced life support and pre-hospital medical care.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure quality patient care.
• Document patient care and interventions according to protocols.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and maintain a tobacco and fragrance-free environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a paramedic.
• Current PA state license, NREMT certification, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Experience with EPIC required.

Scheduling Requirements

• Maximum time off (RTO) allowed: 7 days.
• Weekend availability as needed.
• Floating requirements: N/A.

Additional Information

• Must be comfortable caring for COVID patients.
• Position requires clinical screening to determine fit and guidelines.
