Your Role as a Dental Assistant Create a warm, comfortable, and welcoming experience for every patient Prepare treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials for procedures Provide efficient chairside assistance, including instrument transfer, suction, and clinical support Take and process diagnostic-quality digital x-rays Sterilize instruments and maintain treatment areas in accordance with infection control and OSHA standards Document dental services and maintain accurate patient records Educate patients on oral hygiene and postoperative instructions Maintain equipment and help ensure operatories remain organized and treatment-readyli> Monitor inventory and assist with ordering and stocking clinical supplies Collaborate with providers and team members to support smooth patient flow and an exceptional patient experience What We’re Looking For High school diploma or equivalent preferred Dental Assistant program diploma or certificate preferred Current CT Dental Assistant credentials and applicable DANB/ICE/RHS certifications preferred CPR certification 2+ years of dental office experience preferred Previous chairside dental assisting experience strongly preferred Dentrix experience is a plus Experience assisting dental specialists is a plus Strong communication, organization, and patient service skills Dependable, collaborative, and comfortable working in a busy clinical environment Find the Schedule and Team That Fits You At Preferred Dental of Cromwell, you don't have to choose between doing meaningful work and having flexibility in your schedule.
