As a Senior Software Engineer - Traffic & Networking, you'll have the chance to define and deliver innovative solutions for our cloud infrastructure. Collaborate with top engineers, architects, and managers to build powerful systems for global customers. Develop secure and efficient software for a significant impact.What You’ll Be Doing:Collaborate across teams to develop and deliver scalable software for our brand new cloud infrastructure.Design, build, and maintain network and systems automation solutions for highly dynamic, multi-tenant environments.Engage closely with partners to understand their requirements and ensure an outstanding user experience.Contribute to and lead open-source projects and communities relevant to our work.Share roadmaps, technical demos, and vision with collaborators and leaders to provide updates and show progress.Maintain ownership of your work from the initial development stage through to production, ensuring flawless execution.What We Need to See:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.12+ years of experience designing and building distributed systems.Advanced programming skills in one or more languages, including C, C++, Go, or Rust.Proven experience building and maintaining APIs.Knowledge of asynchronous programming, threading, state machines, and data structures.Experience with data persistence and storage (SQL or equivalent).Understanding of secure communication protocols such as mutual TLS or IPsec.Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals and protocols, including IP, IPv6, BGP, ICMP, and tunneling protocols.Ways to Stand Out from the crowd:Background working at a hyperscale cloud service provider.Experience designing, operating, or automating EVPN/VXLAN fabrics and other overlay networking solutions.Deep familiarity with IPv6 deployment, routing, address management, and dual-stack cloud environments.Experience with BGP-based network architectures, traffic engineering, and scalable routing design.Familiarity with host management technologies such as DHCP, Redfish, and UEFI, as well as security services including TPM, TXT, and Secure Boot.Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
