Field Service Technician – Firestopping, Doors & Dampers Full Time Manual Labor Austin, TX, Austin, TX, US 8 days ago Requisition ID: 1845 Salary Range: $23.00 To $30.00 Hourly Field Service Technician – Firestopping, Doors & Dampers Location: Austin, Texas | Field-Based | Local Travel Required Summary We are seeking a cross‑trained Field Service Technician to perform inspections, repairs, and maintenance of firestopping systems, fire and smoke doors, and fire dampers. This role supports life safety compliance while working independently in customer facilities. What You’ll Get $23.00-$30.00 Hourly (DOE) Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage available 401(k)/Roth retirement plan with company match Paid Time Off (PTO) and paid holidays Life/AD&D and Supplemental Insurance Available What You’ll Do Inspect and repair firestopping systems per NFPA, IBC, and UL standards Inspect fire‑rated doors and fire dampers per NFPA requirements Perform minor repairs to doors, frames, hardware, and wall assemblies Read and interpret Life Safety Plans and construction drawings Document inspection results and repairs using tablet‑based reporting Maintain tools, equipment, and clean, safe job sites Communicate professionally with customers and internal teams Support multiple service lines and travel between job sites Who We Are REMEDI8® is a national leader in passive fire protection and compliance solutions for healthcare and commercial facilities.
