The ideal candidate will lead the design, development, and modernization of enterprise-scale applications, mentor junior engineers, and drive technical excellence in cloud-native and distributed environments. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Angular/React. Build and support Microservices, REST APIs, and event-driven solutions using Kafka or similar messaging platforms. Lead architecture discussions, technical design reviews, and modernization of legacy applications. Collaborate with product owners, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions. Drive best practices around code quality, security, CI/CD, testing, and performance optimization. Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership across teams. Support cloud adoption, containerization, and DevOps initiatives. Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and GenAI solutions to improve engineering productivity. Required Skills 7+ years of software development experience. Strong expertise in: Java 11+/17 Spring Framework, Spring Boot Microservices Architecture REST APIs and Web Services Kafka, MQ, JMS, or event-streaming technologies Experience with Angular, React, or other modern JavaScript frameworks. Strong knowledge of: OOP, SOLID Principles, Design Patterns Multithreading, Concurrency, and Performance Tuning Relational and NoSQL databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DB2) Hands-on experience with: Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, TeamCity CI/CD and DevOps practices Experience with AWS, Azure, or cloud-native application development. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills. Preferred Skills Financial Services, Banking, Wealth Management, Capital Markets, or Payments experience. Experience modernizing legacy applications and monolithic platforms. Exposure to AI/GenAI technologies, GitHub Copilot, Agentic AI, or LLM integrations. Experience with observability tools such as Splunk, ELK, Datadog, or AppDynamics. Knowledge of security best practices, OAuth2, JWT, and vulnerability remediation.
