ID: 78297699 Shift: 7:00 PM-7:30 AM 7:00PM - 7:30AM/36 hours guaranteed Description: TheRegistered Nurse is responsible for assessing the health status of individualsand groups, establishing nursing diagnoses, identifying and planning goals tomeet health care needs, prescribing nursing interventions, implementing theplan of care and evaluating and documenting responses to interventions.The BirthingCenter is a level one low risk birth unit utilizing single room maternity care.Care is provided incorporating Orem s theory of self-care and philosophy offamily centered care. Care is administered on inpatient or outpatient status.The patient population includes obstetrical patients (antepartum, intrapartumand postpartum), clean female surgical cases, newborn stabilization, normalnewborn care, pediatric patients during the Perinatal period. Cesarean birthsare performed and recovered in the Birthing Center. Nursing personnel areprovided for therapeutic abortions performed on other units when staffingpermits.
