Senior Phased Array Architect

Salary: $137,700 - 137,700 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree or higher in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a closely related field.
• We look for 7+ years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
• We need experience guiding cross-functional teams to deliver products and projects under tight deadlines.
• We require hands-on experience with phased array design principles, including beamforming, steering, and calibration.
• We look for experience with RF front-end design, high-speed digital systems, and signal integrity.
• We require experience with system modeling tools and architectural design approaches.
• We require candidates to be a U.S. citizen or national, a U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
• A masters degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or an equivalent discipline is preferred.
• Experience in space vehicle or satellite operations, space communications, or a related industry is preferred.
• Experience in wireless system design and architecture, system integration, and RF system analysis is preferred.
• Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with EM simulation tools such as CST, HFSS, or ADS, and system-level modeling platforms is preferred.
• Knowledge of at least one modern programming or scripting language such as C, C++, Python, or MATLAB is preferred.

• We define and lead the architectural vision for advanced phased array antenna systems, ensuring alignment with performance, scalability, and reliability goals.
• We act as the technical authority on phased array systems, providing strategic guidance for program decisions and long-term technology roadmaps.
• We drive system-level design and optimization, creating blueprints that direct RF, digital, and hardware teams across the organization.
• We oversee system integration to ensure seamless interaction between phased array systems, RF front ends, and digital beamforming architectures.
• We guide cross-functional teams, including RF, software, and systems engineers, to deliver designs that meet strict performance, power, and thermal targets.
• We collaborate with product management, supply chain, and operations to ensure architectural choices support business goals and production realities.
• We establish architectural direction for manufacturability and testability so designs are robust, scalable, and ready for high-volume production.
• We mentor and develop junior engineers while fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
