We are seeking an experienced  Senior Tool & Die Maker to lead our CNC mill and lathe cell operations. In this role, you will combine hands-on tool and die fabrication with advanced CNC programming, setup, and team leadership. You will work closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure precision machining of complex materials while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.

What You’ll Do

• Lead daily CNC mill and lathe cell operations, including set-up, programming, and machining of complex components.
• Fabricate, repair, and modify tools, dies, fixtures, and gauges using manual and CNC equipment.
• Write, edit, and optimize CNC programs using G-code, M-code, and CAM software (Mastercam or similar).
• Interpret advanced blueprints, 3-D tool models, and GD&T to produce precision parts.
• Perform in-process inspections using standard inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM, etc.) to ensure quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, quality, production) to resolve technical issues and improve processes.
• Train and mentor junior machinists on setup, inspection techniques, and best-practice tooling.
• Actively participate in ESH (Environmental, Safety, and Health) programs, identify hazards, and promote a safety-first culture.
• Machine a wide range of materials including steels, alloys, aluminums, titanium, super alloys, plastics, composites, and additively manufactured (AM) parts.

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 8 years of experience in tool and die fabrication
• At least 5 years leading CNC mill and/or lathe cell operations
• Proven proficiency in:
• • CNC setup
  • Programming (G-code, M-code, etc.)
  • CAM software (Mastercam or similar)
• Advanced blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills
• Ability to work with 3-D tool models
• Understanding of inspection tools for in-process quality control
• Excellent communication skills – ability to discuss complex technical concepts with cross-functional teams
• Hands-on experience machining:
• • Steels, alloys, aluminums, titanium, super alloys, plastics, composites, and AM parts

Desired Skills

• Ability and willingness to train junior machinists on setup, inspection, and best-practice tooling techniques
