Mechanic Technician C (I)


Transdev in Las Vegas, Nevada is seeking a C-Level Mechanic to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining engines across various vehicles and equipment. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our vehicles.

• $30.00 (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement PayScale) PLUS $0.15 per ASE

Benefits include:

• Vacation: up to 14 days per year
• Paid Sick Leave: 8 hrs. monthly full-time employees/ 5 hrs. monthly part- time employees; medical, dental & vision after 60 calendar days of employment for full-time employees, life insurance, pension plan, and company holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform repairs and replacements on engines, ensuring optimal functionality.
• Assist A-Level and B-Level Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks, contributing to efficient workflow.
• Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize engine performance.
• Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for engines.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Light vehicle technicians with automotive or van backgrounds encouraged to apply
• ASE certifications required; ASE certification program provided
• Mechanic's Tool Set
• A "C" Mechanic must successfully pass the written exam, hands-on test, and interview
• Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
• Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

Physical Requirements:


The essential functions of this position require the ability to:

• Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations.
• Sit for extended periods (up to 6-8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
• Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
• Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
