Account Executive - Screening (Central LA)
Guardant Health, Inc.
Guardant Health seeks a field-based Account Executive to promote Shield, a colorectal cancer blood test, to primary care providers in Central LA. The role combines sales target achievement with strategic market expansion and cross-functional collaboration to advance cancer screening adoption.
Responsibilities
- Achieve and exceed sales targets through prospecting and execution of national sales strategies
- Build relationships with primary care providers and drive adoption of Shield test for cancer detection
- Provide in-depth product training and support to practices for workflow integration
- Identify new business opportunities within territory and establish phlebotomy draw agreements
- Monitor competitive landscape and share market insights with commercial leadership
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years healthcare sales experience (diagnostics, medical device, or pharma) OR 2 years healthcare sales plus clinical background (RN/PA)
- Demonstrated ability to engage in sales conversations and overcome objections
- Strong understanding of healthcare provider landscape and ability to learn technical product knowledge
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- CRM system proficiency (Salesforce, Veeva, or similar)
- Superior negotiation, problem-solving, and customer service skills
- Diagnostic product experience, particularly blood-based testing or cancer screening (preferred)
