Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant with a strong background in allergy and immunology to join our healthcare team. This role is essential in providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic outpatient clinic setting.

Responsibilities

·       Perform intradermal and skin prick/puncture allergy testing with accuracy and attention to patient safety; monitor and document patient responses in accordance with clinical protocols.

·       Deliver subcutaneous immunotherapy (SCIT) injections and other specialty biologic medications following provider orders, while monitoring the patient and responding to any adverse reactions.

·       Assist in the preparation, supervision, and documentation of medically supervised oral food and drug challenges; ensure emergency protocols are followed in the event of a reaction.

·       Conduct spirometry and other lung function assessments to support the diagnosis and management of asthma and respiratory conditions; educate patients on proper technique and effort for valid test results.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of hands-on experience in an allergy and immunology clinical setting preferred
• Current MA certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems
• Strong attention to detail, ability to follow clinical protocols, and commitment to patient-centered care
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
