Job Profile Summary Under the general direction of the Department Supervisor and within established policies and procedures, the Cardiovascular Radiographer operates radiology equipment and assists physicians in diagnostic cardiac, interventional vascular, and electrophysiology (EP) procedures. This role ensures patient safety and comfort and oversees procedural preparation. Major Responsibilities Prepare procedure rooms: Inspect cleanliness and equipment functionality. Stocks supplies and ensures readiness for procedures. Prepare patients: Positions and supports patients for angiograms. Uses sterile technique and provides emotional support. Perform interventional procedures: Operates ancillary equipment (e.g., balloon pumps, injectors). Follows protocols for cardiac catheterizations, vascular, and EP procedures. Manage imaging systems: Operates imaging equipment and C‑arm. Identifies and resolves image quality issues. Document procedures: Records ECG and hemodynamic data. All responsibilities are essential job functions. Position Qualifications Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technological program ARRT registered Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist License ACLS and current CPR certification Experience/Skills At least 1 years of experience in Cardiac Cath, EP or IR radiography High‑level knowledge of interventional radiology Strong anatomy and physiology understanding Proficiency in multitasking, organization, and attentiveness to detail Presentation and mentoring skills Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.
