An employee-owned (ESOP) MEP consulting engineering firm is opening a new office in Austin, Texas and hiring the first electrical design seat in the market. The firm has more work in the Austin area than it can currently staff, and this role focuses on life science, clean room, and industrial facility design. The firm trains engineers on the specifics of these environments, so prior sector background is not required.

Schedule: Full-time, hybrid. Three days per week in the Austin office.

Compensation: $150,000 to $180,000 per year.

What You'll Do: This engineer performs electrical design for life science, clean room, and industrial facility projects across the firm's Austin work, coordinating closely with the local controls team. The role includes regular field work and direct client contact, along with shared project work across the firm's other offices. As the first electrical hire in a newly opened market, this position carries early influence over how the Austin electrical practice develops.

Required Qualifications:

• Licensed Electrical Professional Engineer (PE)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Willingness to learn new facility types and design environments

Preferred Qualifications:

• Background in life science, clean room, or industrial facility design
• Experience working directly with clients and coordinating with controls teams
• Experience working across multi-office or shared project teams

Compensation and Benefits:
