Certified Surgical Technologist First Assist (CST/FA) - Orthopedics/Neurosurgery
This is a 13-week contract position.
12-hour shifts, three days per week, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Holiday call rotation as needed.
We are seeking a dedicated Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with experience in orthopedics and neurosurgery. The ideal candidate will assist in various surgical procedures, ensuring a sterile environment and supporting the surgical team as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in surgical procedures, primarily focusing on orthopedics and neurosurgery.
- Maintain a sterile field during operations.
- Ensure the availability of instruments and supplies during surgery.
- Participate in room turnover and preparation for subsequent cases.
- Be available for on-call shifts and respond within a 20-minute timeframe.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Current surgical tech certification through one of the following boards: NBSTSA, NCCT, or AAHA.
- Certified Surgical First Assist (CSFA) via NBSTSA, CSA via NCCSA, or SA-C via ABSAC is required.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in surgical services, with preference given to candidates with orthopedics/neurosurgery background.
- 2-3 previous travel assignments preferred.
